2. Create an online class with a master teacher
On Modulo, you can create an online class with a passionate educator expressly trained in a Modular approach. Use our class creation tool to design a live, online class for your child in any subject (coding, math, literacy, music, science, foreign language and more) and get matched with an expert educator, trained and vetted by Modulo Child Life specialists to inspire and challenge your unique child. Join our curated community and share your class with a friend.
3. Make friends and get support
Join our curated online community on slack to connect with an innovative, diverse, inclusive community of families nearby or around the world, share advice and resources. Social learning is an absolutely vital component to a quality education and pivotal to healthy growth and development. And just as much as kids learn through play and collaboration, parents and caregivers need support from their peers. Our child life specialists are on call in the slack group to answer your questions about education. .
How it Works
Step 1. Choose Curriculum
Find a core curriculum and a math supplement to support your child learning at home. Use our free curriculum planner to find the perfect digital app, textbook or nature-based curriculum for your unique child. All tools are secular and have been vetted by learning specialists.
Step 2. Find a teacher or Be the teacher.
Decide you want to guide your child’s learning yourself which is a great option or, if you don’t have the time, use Modulo to match with a highly trained teacher with experience in differentiated instruction and inquiry-based learning to guide the curriculum you’ve chosen. Use our create-a-class feature to match with the perfect teachers to inspire and challenge your child in any subject.
Step 3. Make Friends & Join community
Play and healthy social interactions are vital to your child’s learning and healthy development. Join the Modulo Community to connect with other families and make friends nearby or around the world to share resources, support and friendship.
Step 4. Get Support
Modulo learning specialists are here to support you with every step of your child’s education. We can support you with every aspect of learning from home, from setting up a schedule, to finding classes and tutors, assessing your child’s social, emotional and academic process, building a college portfolio and matching you with friends your child’s age for social activities and shared classes. Modular learning is a new approach to K12 education that puts the child at the center of their own education, where the child belongs. Rather than taking place in one institution at one time with a set group of students, modular learners design an eclectic and engaging education for their unique child, drawing from a variety of resources, experts, peers and activities in order to optimize their child's learning and social-emotional well-being (such as learning apps, hands-on materials, nature-based curriculum, extracurricular classes, world travel, learning pods, skill shares, internships, museums, cultural centers, documentaries, private teachers, experts, self-directed study and more).
