St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO): Music practice is for everyone

SLSO provides some basic music practice that can be used for people of all ages, as well as concerts that students can attend after for a fee. A group of people just wanted to create music. As a result, they created SLSO, the nation's second oldest orchestra. They now even have a youth branch.. SLSO is an organization dedicated to music, with world class musicians. As a teacher, one can request to have a musician visit their school. As a student working from home, one can access their free resources to learn music and music theory. If super interested, one can purchase concert tickets and watch a live performance, which have been shown to enrich a students appreciation for art.. Parents and students can access the free resources under the at home section of their website. From there, there are many projects one can use. These range from music, to dancing, to identifying music motifs. Most of the projects will require internet connection to access the music associated with the projects. If students are near the location, they can even purchase tickets to visit., SLSO provides free resources for music appreciation and study. It is great for any student who has an interest in music, as it will introduce them to world class musicians that they can see as a role model. Parents with the capability of visiting and attending a performance live would also be strongly motivating for their student., The free resources provided are very baseline resources without solutions (there isn't one solution most of the time). Parents/Guardians/Teachers will really need to understand and listen to the students answer, asking them why they answered in such way. , .

Elvin J Lin

My name is Elvin J Lin and grew up in El Monte, California. I recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and want to pursue a career in teaching. One of my dreams is to be the teacher that has a lasting impact on my students on their educational journey. Some of my hobbies are cooking new recipes and eating tasty foods, as well as gaming. I enjoy bonding over interests that my students enjoy talking about and just being able to see the excitement in them as we talk about the things they love.
