Art History Kids
Art History Kids is perfect for a flexible, hands-on, project-based approach to art for homeschooled children. Art History Kids' primary lesson plans from its "The Studio" program, which provides weekly lesson materials organized into monthly topics. The founder - Lotus Stewart - is herself a homeschool mom passionate about art history who wanted to supplement her children's curriculum; unable to find any resources that weren't too simple or too boring, she created her own. Every week, a new lesson guide is released that contains all of the information parents need that week to start a project or introduce a famous artist. Art History Kids is good choice for young homeschooled children, requiring minimal prep time from parents and full of fun and creative projects that kids love. By subscribing to The Studio, parents are also invited to a private Facebook Group to network and share ideas with other subscribers. Lesson plans are very flexible, so it's up to parents to plan what projects or topics they actually want to cover, and how much time they want to spend on it each week. Some projects may require difficult-to-find art supplies, but most can be done easily at home.
