Welcome to Modulo

Learning at home made Easy

A new vision for childhood education

Welcome to Modulo. We are so glad you are here! Modulo is a new child-centered and family-centered approach to childhood education. The Modular approach accelerates learning through focusing on finding the right tools and structure to optimally support each unique child and family. As such, it creates more space for ease and joy around learning for the whole family. Rather than taking place in one setting with one set of resources, Modular education is built from a mosaic of resources, drawing from a variety of different organizations and sources.

  • Mastery Learning: Students learn at their own pace and accelerate more rapidly with 1-1 support. In Modular learning, students generally have 1-2 hours a day of mastery learning, primarily in math and language arts. This could be 1:1 teaching sessions led by a family member, teacher or subject expert and/or independent study with digital apps, books or other offline and online resources.

  • Social-emotional learning: Play and collaborative projects are vital to children’s social, emotional and intellectual development. Families choose social and educational group activities that align with their child’s interests and give them lots of time to play and learn collaboratively in a peer group.

  • Self-directed education: Since we trust children’s natural inclination to explore the world around them, we encourage families to leave lots of unstructured time for self-directed learning, free play, and child-initiated projects.

  • Diverse Community: Inclusive and diverse community helps everyone learn and grow. Families doing Modular learning engage in field trips, park days, volunteering , skill share and social gatherings.

  • Expert support. No one should have to raise a child alone. In Modular education, families draw on support from families, teachers and mentors with expertise in academic, social and emotional development.
