Design your child’s education

At Modulo, we create a custom education for each child based on their unique learning style, preferences and family’s goals for their education. Through an approach that focuses on collaborating with families to uncover each child’s source of intrinsic motivation, children become highly motivated to learn. As your child evolves, so does their learning plan. Rather than having a learning plan that is set in stone, we continually adapt your child’s plan throughout the year as they grow and encounter new challenges and opportunities. Teachers work as a coordinated team to support each child’s social, emotional and academic development. We also offer parent education and community.

“Our daughter has really thrived in this environment. She's liking it far better than her in-person school, she's made many new friends, and her learning has been dramatically accelerated. “

— Jeremy, Australia

Get started

We help you create a custom learning plan.

The first step in our program is an in-depth consultation with our child life specialist and academic planner. We’ll work with you to develop a tailored learning and social-emotional development plan based on your family’s goals and child’s learning style,.

We schedule your child’s classes & social activities.

After your initial consultation, we’ll schedule your child’s tutors, classes and playdates with peers. All you have to do is share your child’s calendar and let us know your preferred times. You can request to change or add teachers, playmates and classes at any time.

We adapt your learning plan as your child grows.

You, your child life specialist and teachers are all synched up on a single communication channel. We collaborate with you to optimize your child’s learning plan as you go. We also provide optional holistic quarterly assessments which we use to make any changes.

What People Are Saying

““We adore our daughter’s teacher! She is one of those very special forever teachers who is highly skilled and adept at teaching and inspiring small children. My four-year-old wakes up on weekdays eager and ready to go to class! She is also super dedicated to supporting the parents and families at Modulo. We are deeply grateful to her and Modulo. They are a reliable and trusted source of support, information, and community in these surreal times."

— Jennifer L., Fredericksburg

“Modulo has provided a creative, fun outlet for our 6 and 4 year olds to connect with other kids, and learn through a custom education plan tailored for them. During the COVID pandemic, we are homeschooling our kids, and Modulo has made it possible for them to really enjoy the process!" We’ve especially appreciated the help with curriculum selection and planning; the amount of content available online is overwhelming, so the experience and guidance of the Modulo teachers was critical in giving us the confidence to homeschool this year.”

— Karmel and David, Los Angeles

““Modulo offers an à la carte set of experiences that was easy to fit into our (constantly changing) plan for ensuring that our kids continued to learn at a high level.  The adaptability has been great: kids are pleasantly surprised to find out they have real agency in directing their own curriculum.  The teaching is excellent and, as importantly in a remote environment, highly engaging. It has been a great place for kids to make real and interesting friends all over the country and for parents to build a supportive learning community.”

— Jason and Sara, Newton

About our teachers

All the teachers we work with are highly trained in child-centered communication, effective collaboration with families and best practices for online teaching. While our teachers are highly experienced in their area of expertise, we place even greater emphasis on their communication skills with children and ability to use inquiry and project-based learning to inspire their students. All our tutors have at least 2 years of teaching experience and consistently receive five star reviews from families on our platform. We make special efforts to ensure that children are matched with teachers with whom they have a good rapport and families can change tutors at anytime if they are looking for a better match.
