Intro to Marketing for Homeschool Entrepreneurs

Over the years, I’ve met so many education entrepreneurs who loathe marketing and “self-promotion.” Marketing can feel inauthentic, pushy, manipulative - and even antithetical to the very values of trust, generosity and integrity that inspired us to create innovative educational programs for children in the first place. What’s more, marketing can be time-consuming and draining! Founders want to focus on is the design and delivery of education, not spend all their time promoting themselves. It can feel overwhelming to try to compete with the companies who have big budgets and advertising teams with a shoe-string marketing budget. - or none at all. When initial efforts don’t pay off, it can feel disheartening, leading brilliant, talented founders question the value of their programs or worse, give up entirely.

But marketing doesn’t have to be draining, time-consuming and ineffective.

In fact, it can actually be fun! A decade ago, I learned that good marketing is simply effective communication. And meaningful, authentic communication is a much needed skill in this world. In the past ten years, I’ve helped hundreds of amazing education entrepreneurs grow their programs from barely surviving to thriving communities (while paying nothing for marketing). In this free workshop, we will discuss how to authentically communicate the strengths of your program with your local or online community so that they understand that your organization exists - and how it can serve their learners. We’ll review concrete strategies - and each participant will leave with a practical action plan they feel excited about to get more great learners in their program as early as this week!
