Junior Zone
Free online clubs for kids - run by kids
Junior Zone is a set of free, online clubs run by two tweens, which will run year-round, mostly in Zoom breakout rooms. We are planning for a loose age range of 7-13, but we don't mind older or younger kids. If you are interested in joining this (or your kid would be), please fill out our survey to join.

Audrey
My name is Audrey, I am twelve, and I live in Southern Marin, CA. I have been homeschooled my whole life. My hobbies are: reading, writing, art and playing violin/orchestra. I have been playing violin for four years. I have a small dog named Teddy, and I enjoy training him. I like nature.
The reason I wanted to start Junior Zone was I was looking for clubs, but I didn’t see anything that appealed to me. There seemed to be a lack of enrichment clubs. I also wanted to do a long term project with my (also homeschooled) friend Gabriel. I thought that this would be perfect! It would be a long term project, but also give kids in Marin, and all over, free, online clubs.
My goal is to make online clubs for passionate young people all over, to allow friendship making, all while in a safe and inclusive environment.

Gabriel
My name is Gabriel (though you can call me Gabe), I am 10 and I live in San Rafael, CA. I have been homeschooled my whole life (except Preschool). My hobbies are: reading, creative writing, playing violin, piano, timpani, and orchestra. I have been playing violin for 4 months, piano for 5 years, and timpani for 6 months. I have a large golden retriever named Sugar. I also have 2 younger sisters.
The reason I wanted to start Junior Zone (though it was Audrey’s idea originally) was well, I like, had nothing going on. I mean, music is my life, but, none of my lessons were happening. Also, they were weekly, and the practice, well, nothing new really ever happened. Orchestra was on break, and I needed a project. This seemed like the perfect thing. I’ve also always enjoyed teaching and running things, and I also wanted to do a long term project with my (also homeschooled) friend Audrey. I thought that this would be perfect! In addition, I also felt like their weren’t any, kid-run things in Marin (really anywhere I looked, actually), And I wanted to fix that. It would be a long term project, but also give kids in Marin, and all over, free, online clubs.
My goal is to have more kid-run, purely recreational, things for kids of all ages, no matter where they are.
