Welcome!
We’re so glad you’re here.
Whether you are just beginning to explore ideas for your child’s education, or already are deep into your journey, welcome.
Some parents arrive here because they are looking for an educational option that preserves their child’s love of learning. Others come because some aspect of traditional schooling isn’t serving their child well. Still others are interested in finding a path that allows for more parental involvement, or family time together.
Whatever brings you to this exploration of educational options, we are here to support you, and we are cheering you on in your search for the right fit.
In modular learning, parents create a mosaic of activities and experiences for their child’s education, composed of five parts:
The Five Components
1:1 Mastery learning. 1:1 teaching sessions in core academic areas, taught by a family member or tutor (learn more about 1:1 mastery learning resources here)
Group activities that align with your child’s interests and that give them lots of time working and playing with peers (learn more about group activities in your geographic area here)
Self-directed education. Unstructured time for self-directed learning, free play, and child-initiated projects (learn more about how families approach open time here)
Community. Field trips, park days, volunteering and social gatherings with the broader modular learning community (learn more about community in your area here)
Support from a learning specialist to help you create your child’s plan each semester, mentor you as parent-educator, and ensure your child is meeting educational milestones. (meet some of learning specialists here)
