OnlineG3
This is an online learning environment that provides the space for gifted learners to think critically and creatively online, in an accredited education program. Online G3 has a full range of courses from self-paced to more structured timelines. They offer a wide range of topics to engage all kinds of learners. The founder, was inspired to start Online G3 to serve gifted and talented students around the world when her daughter was entering Kindergarten and could already read chapter books, and she felt that public schools couldn't customize learning enough. Families choose an individual path for their child reviewing a course catalog, registering and paying online, and then participating in live webinars weekly, while also completing asynchronous activities at home. Parents love it because they can customize learning for their children. It is a great choice for gifted and talented students who are looking to expand their education beyond what traditional public schools can offer. Parents might not like that students have to keep up with the work on their own time. Parents will need to monitor children at home to make sure they don't fall behind, so it is not suited for children who are not at least a little self-motivated.
