Logic of English
Logic of English publishes educational resources that combine accurate phonograms and spelling rules with the Science of Reading and the Joy of Learning so that students of all ages can be empowered to become fluent readers, writers, and spellers. Logic of English materials are designed to help students of all ages who are struggling with or just starting to learn English language skills (such as reading, writing, and spelling) through engaging worksheets, books, and other activities. Denise Eide founded this after seeing her sons struggle to understand nuances and exceptions in the English language. After publishing a book detailing phonograms/spelling rules, she decided to make it a curriculum to help others in the same position Parents or teachers can purchase materials for either the Foundations or Essentials curriculums, and then teach those to their children at their own pace. Logic of English is aimed towards younger students with dyslexia or other learning disabilities that hinder their comprehension and understanding of phonetics, spelling, reading, writing, and other such English language skills. The curriculum is meant to be slower-paced, so it is not for gifted children or children who are at their grade level in their English language skills. It is also a little bit expensive, but, considering one purchase covers a fews years of learning, it seems to be worth it.
Grades: This is designed for elementary school level students, but anyone struggling with English language skills can use them to master these skills.
Cost: Individual assignments or workbooks cost between $10 and $20, but sets (all the work for one level) cost between $75 and $250.
