Build Your Library : Literature-based approach to social studies that’s inclusive of diverse perspectives and viewpoints

Build Your Library is a secular, literature-based homeschool curriculum that incorporates aspects of history into each lesson. Build Your Library is a homeschool curriculum that works to incorporate history into fun literature books for students in grades K-12. It's a secular organization and aims to make history a more enjoyable topic for students to learn. Emily Cook created Build Your Library to homeschool her own four children after years of unsuccessfully trying to find a curriculum that fit her family's needs. Each lesson includes a schedule of required readings in multiple subjects for the student to complete. Supplemental activities and projects related to the readings are also included in the kit, alongside vocabulary words and activity pages. Parents enjoy the perfect balance between structure and flexibility that the program provides. The outline keeps parents on the right track but also gives them space to tweak lessons to fit their children's needs.
